MAY 2018 MORNING OFFERING
“My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked with favor of his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed;
The Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him in every
He has shown the strength of his arm;
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
he has cast down the mighty from their thrones
and lifted up the lowly;
he has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel,
For he has remembered his promise of mercy,
The promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and to his children forever.”
Jesus, through the most pure Heart of Mary, I offer you the prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day, in union with all the Masses being offered throughout the world for all the intentions of thy Sacred Heart, I offer them especially for Arch-Bishop William Goh and Archbishop Emeritus Nicholas Chia, for all our priests, religious sisters,brothers, seminarians and novices. I also pray for:-
Our Holy Father Pope Francis, give him the spirit of courage and right judgment, a spirit of knowledge and love to shepherd his flock.
The world leaders, may they serve their nation with a pure and selfless heart.
The lay-apostles open their lips to share your good news.
Families, teach them how to value the gifts of marriage and the family, and to persevere in virtues of patience, generosity and fidelity.
The youth, teach them to be honest and open to you, to their friend and family.
The aged, the lonely, the depressed and those tempted to commit suicide; heal them, feed them and let your light shines into the dim corners of their hearts
The sick, especially those suffering from Cancer, Aids, Dementia, may they accept you as the author and perfector of their faith and say “My life rests in you alone, O Lord”
Prisoners, drug offenders and ex-prisoners, through your enlightenment and grace, set them free from all bondages so that they can live in your peace.
Those on death row, console and guide them and may capital punishment be abolished.
The souls of our dearly departed, may their souls rest in peace eternal. Amen.
