The Marymount Prayer team members and friends celebrated the lunar year of the snake with the tossing of the Yu Sheng for Luck...Prosperity...Peace... & Good Health at Ah Yat Seafood Restaurant at the Grandstand (Tuft City) on 17th February, 2013.
Dinner was held on Thur, 10th Feb, 2011 at Ah Yat Seafood Restaurant (Tuft City). We were fortunate to occupy the function room (with Karaoke facilities) for 5 tables. We had the usual 'Lo Hei' dish as our first dish. Overall, the food was good and indeed we had a jolly good time.
This spacious double-storey bungalow was the venue for our BBQ. It was booked from Fri 20th to Sun 22nd August, 2010. It. is fully furbished with living room, dining room and 5 air-conditioned bedrooms. On Saturday, we had the Praise & Worship in the afternoon followed by BBQ in the evening.
We had another round of 'Lo Hei' on the eve of Chap Goh Mei (15th and last day of CNY). Dinner was held at Food R' Us restaurant.
For this CNY pot-luck celebration we had a special treat of salmon YuSheng. This Chinese New Year dish is served traditionally on the 7th day of Chinese New Year. This auspicious salad dish was specially prepared by member/members of the MPS team who had spent many hours painstaking preparing the salad and condiments. This effort is very much appreciated by all. The ritual of 'lo hel' supposedly brings good fortune, thriving business and wishes come true for participants tossing the salad.
